Outline:
In this unit, you will follow the design process to design and build an Otto Humanoid robot. You will use the 3D printers to print out a unique Otto body and limbs and will code your robot to perform basic tasks
What is involved:
– You will learn about the various 3D printing filament options and how they are made.
– The chemical structure of PLA filament and analyse their suitability for the Otto project.
– The basic electrical circuits that make it possible to move the Otto.
– How to use software to digitally draw your Otto design.
What is an Otto Humanoid:
The Otto robot is an interactive robot that is powered by Arduino board and program with either the Graphical or Arduino code software.
What is Arduino:
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for anyone making interactive projects.

What sensors does Otto have:
Otto has a range of different sensors that allow it to perform different tasks. You can explore Otto’s full range of abilities when your Otto is complete
Where to start:
At the top of the page are links to each stage of the design process. Complete them in their current order by clicking on a link and following the instructions.
