Edit Your Menu

TASK: Your task is to edit your menu settings to easily navigate around your site

• Step one: Start in your main menu
  
  • Hover over the Appearance button
    
  • Click on Customise

• Click on Menus

• Click on Primary

• Step two: Add your home page to your menu
  
  • Click on + Add Items
    
  • Click on + Home Front Page to add your home page to your menu

• Step three: Copy the Digital Technology website home page URL
  
  • Go to boscodt.home.blog
    
  • Highlight the URL for the page and type the command and c keys at the same time to copy

• Step four: Add the Materials website to your menu
  
  • Click on Custom Menus
    
  • Paste the Digital Technology URL in the space provided
    
  • Add the Link Text as: SJBC
    
  • Click on Add to Menu

• Step five: Add new pages to your menu
  
  • Click on the Pages drop down menu
    
  • Add two new pages to your menu by typing them in the space provided
    – Year 7
    – DT Glossary
    
  • Click on the + Add button to add your new pages to your menu

• Step six: Rearrange your pages to include a drop down menu
  
  • Click on reorder
    
  • Click on the arrow to move the DT Glossary to the right. This will make the page a drop down menu under Year 7
    
  • Your menu should look like the example. When it does, click on Done

• Step seven: Add your menu to your website
  • Click on the selection button next to Primary Navigation
  • Click on Save Changes to save your work
